TJ Dillashaw
Two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion
I was born as Tyler Jeffrey Dillashaw and I’m from Angel’s Camp, California. As one of 3 brothers, I was always scrapping. My Dad got me into wrestling and I immediately fell in love with the constant grind and physically competitive nature of the sport. I excelled through High School and after qualifying twice for the State Championships, I was offered a scholarship to Cal State Fullerton.
I wrestled all four years and after graduating with a degree in Kinesiology, decided to further my Martial Arts training and become an MMA fighter. After a successful run on The Ultimate Fighter reality show that landed me in the final, I solidified my pro contract and have been a UFC fighter since. I am the current Bantamweight World Champion and have successfully defended my title on several occasions.
I have always had a passion for fitness and challenging myself. Although I am an instructor, I am also forever a student in the journey that is Martial Arts Mastery. I’ve had the amazing fortune to train with some of the top minds in the world. I have absorbed their training and created my own style that utilizes fundamentals and pairs them with my passion to constantly evolve my training regimen. I believe in the philosophy of smarter, not harder. Fully understanding not just what you are doing, but why, is pivotal to success. Join me and let me personally teach you the skills that I’ve learned over the years that have helped shape me into the athlete and champion I am today.
